For the second time since 2008, the Swiss Banking Institute at the University of Zurich, in a representative study, has examined investor perspectives and investor behavior on the Swiss structured products market. The authors of the study were especially interested in ascertaining investors’ level of knowledge about structured products and in gauging the popularity and usage of structured products. The study also gained insight into the criteria that investors take into consideration when deciding whether to buy such products. Finally, the study reveals how investors specifically inform themselves about structured products within the context of general economic matters and how they execute their transactions with these products.
The study was conducted with the financial assistance of Bank Vontobel AG.
